During the 1980's an effort was begun to bring about some type of racial reconciliation to the ministries of the Church of God in Mississippi.  At the time, there were two very independent assemblies of people (one primarily black and one primarily caucasian).

The place to start, on the long road of the unity for which Jesus has prayed, was with the leadership.  The current ministerial association was birthed from the two groups.  We have one credentialling board, and one training program for ministers, which involves an annual conference in February.  We meet annually for other matters of business in June or July as well.

In 2008, we still face the long and challenging road of merging our General Assemblies, (Farmhaven and Dixon) but by the grace of God and by following the leading of the Holy Spirit, we will make it all the way.
